Everyone has questions about the dentist. We’re here to answer all of them. Here are some frequently asked questions relevant to our practice.
How often should I see the dentist?
The American Dental Association recommends seeing the dentist twice a year for a regular cleaning and check up exam. With certain procedures, follows ups may be necessary. Also, with more advanced treatments and higher risk patients, visits may be needed more frequently.
Are you accepting new patients?
Absolutely. As a new patient, your first appointment will include a comprehensive exam, and may include x-rays. We will also go over any questions about your treatment plan, pricing/financing options, and schedule future appointments.
What do I need to bring with me?
When you arrive to your first appointment, please bring a form of identification, insurance card, a list of any medications you’re currently taking, and any x-rays taken within the past year (bring or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org). You can get a head start on new patient paperwork here . Please arrive 20 minutes early to fill out all necessary forms.
Do you offer sedation?
Our office does not do full sedation but we do provide semi-sedation to calm any nerves you may have during your visit.
I’m running late, is that okay?
After 15 minutes into the scheduled time, your appointment will be cancelled. If you need to cancel an appointment, we request a 24 hour notice but we understand things happen; call us as soon as you know you need to cancel.
Can my 17 year old bring his 6 year old sister to her appointment?
A parent or legal guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18 during an office visit unless paperwork has been filled out prior to the appointment time. If under 18, parents may sign a consent form allowing the treatment of minors for hygiene and orthodontic appointments only. This form does not apply to first time visits or appointments to other services provided.
Do you accept Medicaid/Medicare?
Our offices do not work with these programs. They do, however, accept most other insurance plans, and offer a range of affordable, no-interest payment plans. For more information on insurance and financing, please click here. Or call us with any questions you have about our options.
I have no insurance and bad credit. Do I have any options?
No problem, like stated above, we offer great payment plans with no surprises – we’ll provide a clear, detailed estimate on the cost of your treatment plan in writing so you know what to expect.
